Our heart beats for geothermal and groundwater systems, which has enabled us to gain a high degree of practical experience over the last years and thus develop a thorough understanding of water-rock interactions in the subsurface and their effects on any surface applications.
We consider groundwater and deep water to be information media whose specific isotopic signatures can be used to derive information on the origin, age, and genesis of these waters as well as to contribute to the characterization of geothermal reservoirs.
We have set ourselves the goal of supporting a climate-neutral future. For this reason, we have been working with partners since 2020 on various projects for regionally extracting lithium from alternative resources. These include the BMWK-funded research project UnLimited.

Die natürliche Beschaffenheit des Grundwassers ist das Ergebnis der Wasser-Gesteins-Wechselwirkung innerhalb des Grundwasserleiters. Je nach hydrologischen und geochemischen Bedingungen stellt sich ein regional typischer Grundwasserchemismus ein.
Durch die Auswahl zerstörungsfreier in-situ Messverfahren zur Ermittlung von Korrosion und Scaling wird eine Zustandsüberwachung der Anlage während der Betriebsphase ermöglicht.
Eine detaillierte Analyse natürlich vorkommender Radionuklide hat das Potential die Nutzbarmachung der Tiefengeothermie in verschiedenen Projektphasen zu unterstützen.
Das Vorhandensein natürlicher Radionuklide im Tiefenwasser kann zur Bildung von radioaktiven Ablagerungen im obertägigen Anlagensystem führen und somit negative Konsequenzen für den Anlagenbetrieb sowie sicherheitstechnische Probleme nach sich ziehen.
